So last night moved into my dorm. It's okay looking. Nothing spectacular but it could be alot worst. I can cover most of the ugly stuff easily with posters and my room is plain enough to personalize. We were a half hour late for the move in time. My dad huffed and puffed. He always has an "I told you so " attitude about us being late to places and events with our mom. He prides himself on a punctuality that isn't that spectacular. I see him sit down in a chair with a face that says, "If it were up to me we would have been here two hours ago". "Well" I thought, "If you hadn't chosen to go trapeezing off to New York with you ex girlfriend at the last minute I would have been moved in on Sunday, so you have no room to talk." Because of his spur of the moment trip happening on my planned move in date my mom has been really cold and spiteful towards him. To my dad going to New York instead of helping me move in for the Minority Orientation on Sunday shows where his priorities are.
Eventually we were let into the building and I found my dorm. Two of my quadmates (Allison and Allyson, both majoring in music education) had already moved in and on top of that had matching everything. "You see" my mom said, "You should have coordinated". "Yeah", I thought "I'd rather have all white sheets than match their hot pink color scheme". My mom then proceeded to wipe down everything with a lemon scented disinfectant that I could smell all the way down the hall. Moving in took forever. By the time we were finished it was 11:00p. I think my mom delayed so that she didn't have to say goodbye. The previous night I was in a sad and reflective sort of mood but quickly cured it with a viewing of La Femme Nikita and Lost in Translation.
I'm going to miss you guys:( Keep on posting, it's my only way of knowing what you are doing.
Until next time,

unfortunately i got the umbrellas in japan
>_>....and i don't have them anymore. but its so unfair, those umbrellas are disposable, dollar umbrellas, and they don't even have them here. japan has the coolest umbrellas ever.
Wow. College.
It's weird, isn't it? How fast time goes by.
What are you planning on majoring in?
I'm thinking seriously about something International Studies and possibly double majoring (but if anything single minoring). I have to see whether or not I'd be able to handle that.
Columbus State hasn't started yet right? How are you enjoying your last days of summer?
